School of Vice: 80 percent of Cambodia's [land?] border has been demarcated so far. Yet Cambodians in the know can't even agree among themselves on what maps are being used, and or whether the right maps are being used at all! The fact that this whole border business [the forced evictions of Cambodians - perhaps, in the thousands - living along the border since 1979; the persecutions and harassment of activists and even local officials concerned with the losses of land to Vietnam up to the present time etc. and not only the demarcation process itself] has taken over three decades to come into public 'debate' and discussion equally makes an absolute mockery of the notion of "state secrets", not to mention this act amounting to the most reprehensible and blatant distortion of the core principles of democracy by any meaningful definition. 

And since when have the Vietnamese people ever heard of their country having lost territories to their neighbours to the south and west, eh?
