THE UNIVITED: Three Character Posters From Cambodian Fantasy Horror

Andrew Mack, Associate Editor

Production will begin in Cambodia this weekend on a new fantasy horror called The Uninvited. It will be directed by Italian ex-pat Daniele Jimmy Henderson. We have three character posters to share with you below.

Sometime in the past, in rural Cambodia, there was an isolated village ruled by a hardliner Commune Chief. The village faced misery due to a curse that had plagued the village with poor weather conditions ad minimal food supply. The only hope, is there, over the mountain that back-dropped the village from the near distance.

But the Commune Chief is too proud of his land and too confident in his power. By injecting fear into the villagers' minds he is able to keep them from any form of rebellion.

Until one day, when things start turning into a different direction by the arrival of a mysterious mute woman that appears from the forest.

Filming will take place in the Kampot Bokor National Park where the production has built a small village from scratch. We are sure that Daniele will have more to share with us when filming closes in four weeks.

When last we spoke about Daniele we were talking about his action flick Hanuman (which we will get the opportunity to look at soon). Daniele has been living in Cambodia for a while now and is active in the country's burgeoning film scene. He has two other projects scheduled for later this; one he is directing and producing and the other he will work on as DoP.

Isn't that the Uninvited plot line is similar to hun sen's regime in Cambodia?. I am sure the social media will take part and form opinions when the film is released. I wish director Henderson the very best of luck. Jackel
