PHNOM PENH, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong discussed border issues with Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung here on Tuesday and demanded Vietnam respect the border line, the Cambodian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Hor Namhong, who is also a deputy prime minister, raised the cases of Vietnamese authorities digging eight ponds deeply inside northeast Cambodian territory in Ratanakiri province and constructing a military post at a non-demarcated border area between Cambodia's Kandal province and Vietnam's An Giang province, the ministry said in a statement.
"The deputy prime minister demanded Vietnamese side cease this construction even though the Vietnamese deputy foreign minister claimed that it was just the renovation (of old military post)," the statement said.
Hor Namhong also reiterated his request to the Vietnamese side to respect the border line and a joint communique issued on Jan. 17, 1995 between the two neighbors, it added.
For his part, Le Hoai Trung said after receiving diplomatic notes from Cambodia, Vietnamese leaders have ordered local authorities to report on these matters and are waiting for the reports.

កាលពីពេលថ្មីៗនេះក្រសួងការបរទេសកម្ពុជា បានដាក់កំណត់ទូតចំនួន២លើកទៅកាន់ស្ថានទូតវៀតណាមក្រោយកម្ពុជារកឃើញស្រះទឹកចំនួន៨ជីកខុសច្បាប់ដោយភាគីវៀតណាមនៅតំបន់សដោយខុសការកំណត់នៃកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងរវាងប្រទេសទាំងពីរ។ចំណែកថ្ងៃទី១៧មិថុនា ក្រសួងការបរទេសដាក់កំណត់ទូតថ្មីមួយទៀត ទៅកាន់រដ្ឋាភិបាលវៀតណាមឲ្យបញ្ឈប់ការជីកដីធ្វើគ្រឹះសម្រាប់ការសាងសង់ប៉ុស្តិ៍យោធានៅត្រង់ចំណុចភូមិព្រែកស្បូវ ឃុំសំពៅពូន ស្រុកកោះធំ ខេត្តកណ្តាល។ បញ្ហានេះក៏ត្រូវរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីក្រសួងការបរទេសកម្ពុជាលើកឡើងផងដែរ និងបានស្នើឲ្យវៀតណាមបញ្ឈប់ការសាងសង់នេះ ទោះវាជាការជួសជុលប៉ុស្តិ៍យាមចាស់ក៏ដោយ។

Don't you gentlemen think it is enough that Cambodian stop hating and defame each others. When we Cambodian seek to discredit and destroy each others our country kept loosing a piece of our land or island. We Khmer must seek to united and forgive of the past and find a common goals to protect our country from our 2 hungry thieves neighbors (Youn & Siam and some small scale Laos) We must allow CPP government do their jobs. We don't vote for them but they are Royal Cambodian Government we must support them when they are protecting our country. Even though they are a little late to confront Youn expansion into our territories but never too late.
Each state take time to get diplomatic complains channel through. We must have patience. The Youn government and Royal Khmer government needed time. I will never trust Hanoi promises or Hun Sen promises but they are the legal governments of each state. We must our eyes open to CPP and Youn talk. So, don't start attacking our own government verbally. This will only help Youn and Siam. What ever we got against each other please keep it in the house don't let these neighbors divided us again. Too many of our peoples had lost their lives because of us hatred of each others, time to stop.

Enough is enough to fool Khmer and appease us by just sweep away the treason act from a few stroke of word like this it doesn't make any sense. We born as Khmer we never aver hate or discord with our own government. if this government have a good sense of dignity and serve our Khmer citizen in fullness capacity, clean and respectfulness, know bodies have trouble to criticized or discerned them at all. But for 30 years Khmer poor got more and more suffer specially from logistic or farming land have been ripped off take away without any justice render . Injustice exist every where in the country, the rich , cronies, partisanship, families cycle trump the law in all occasion . Did that fit to you description of unify for the sake of the country ? You are a fool and Brainless . we khmer have no any intention to trashed our own government at all, but when our Khmer social fabric torn apart like of to day, the choice left is fight back for our rightfulness and protect our dignity to live as an inocent citizen .
