"The CNRP would like to reiterate position over supporting of culture of dialogue which requires mutual respect from dialogue partners, no blaming and threatening each other. Instead, discussing in order to resolve social and national issues peacefully," it said in a statement issued Thursday.

The statement said those social and national issues include issues of integrity, sovereign, border, illegal immigration, national resources, environment, judicial system and Executive Branch reform and corruption.

"This culture [of dialogue] also requires those who have different political trend to abandon a habit of mistreating and attacking and revenging each other," said the statement.

"The CNRP wants to see this culture spread to not only for top leadership, but also to across the country and to locals," the statement went on.

"CNRP led by Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha, as well as all level leaders will continue to consume this culture for the sake of the nation and people," said the statement.

Hun Sen on Wednesday threatened to halt the culture of dialogue if Kem Sokha, vice president of CNRP, continue to criticize his government.
