Senior Cambodian Opposition Official Summoned to Court [Hun Sen is beginning to destroy the CNRP, but he is making Kem Sokha a martyr and a hero]

Sok Khemara March 30, 2015 Kem Sokha, the vice president of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party, has been summoned to appear in Phnom Penh Municipal Court a week after being threatened with a lawsuit by Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Defense attorney Chen Chan told VOA the lawmaker likely will be questioned on April 8 about violent demonstrations held in Phnom Penh last July, for which 11 opposition supporters are being tried for insurrection and other charges.
"It’s an old story from last year that involved the instigation to commit crimes or to provoke instability in the society," Chan said.
It is not yet clear if Kem Sokha is being summoned as a witness or a potential suspect in the case.
Rights groups say the charges are greatly exaggerated and should be dropped against the suspects, including Meach Sovannara, a Rescue Party supporter who also is a U.S. citizen.
Chen Chan said Kem Sokha should have been summoned to court via the Ministry of Justice and the National Assembly, not just court authorities, because as a lawmaker he enjoys parliamentary immunity.
Prime Minister Hun Sen in recent days has expressed anger at Kem Sokha, who recently visited the U.S. and said the opposition one day would like to lead Cambodia.
This report was produced in collaboration with the VOA Khmer service.

But we are also happy to see Scam Rainsy and Kem Sokha devided. Its been known from the start that if they join the devil in disguise in the parliament, they will soon feel the fire. Yet, Scam Rainsy still play with the devil and ignore all our calls to not join him.

Begin of Drgunzet's comment.

What a sad choice for the opposition followers.

1. Sam Rainsy the coward who would run into exile so fast at the slightest hint of trouble. He made claim that he had evidence from Paris about the dead movie star who was allegedly murdered on the order of the jealous wife of the Prime Minister Hun Sen. He also claimed he can win the counter lawsuit over the 1997 grenade attack proving Mr. Hun Sen guilty.

But as we all know, Sam Rainy never sued Mr. Hun Sen. It's all talks and lies. I am so surprised Mr. Hun Sen did not put this liar away for good.

2. Kem Sokha is a lot less slimy like Sam Rainsy but he made really stupid remark, "Khmer Rouges are not that incompetent, why would they let S-21 evidence to fall into Vietnam's hands to be used against them later. Vietnam probably staged S-21."

Come to think of it, perhaps there was no Pol Pot, Khmer Rouges, the whole thing was staged by Vietnam and the whole world including all the Khmer had been fooled for so long. Ahahaha... What a sad country. When you have a politician such as Kem Sokha who disrespect the victims' memory, you are so sad.

Kem Sokha also exploited the tragedy on the Koh Pich bridge to attack the Vietnamese, "Vietnam is probably behind this to destroy Cambodia culture preventing the river boat race."

Clearly, your two leaders are no where near the caliber of Aung Aan Suu Kyi.
