PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Siem Reap police will send nine people arrested on suspicion of burning one of Angkor Sangkran's welcome gates in Siem Reap to court this Friday for questioning.
Siem Reap police said that the suspects have been arrested since 7 April, a day after Angkor one of Sangkran's gates in Siem Reap province was burned.
Two suspects, Map and Song, were mastermind, police said.

I have just read a news: In Vietnam this week, there was a job fair with 1900 jobs, but there were only 450 people applied.
Some new factories could only staff 10 percent of the workers and they have to go to other towns to recruit and truck people over to work.
There is no way Cambodia can compete with Vietnam.

P.S. Here is an example why Khmer is hated, while the race I came from is loved.
Say, when the Whites offered the Khmer beef stew:
1. Either the Khmer person would say, "I don't eat beef, beef makes people dumb." So, it also means beef makes the White dumb.
2. The Khmer ate a lot of beef stew, then complain next time if there was no more beef stew or beef meat.
When the Whites offered me beef stew, I declined, "Beef is for the rich, I only eat chicken, eggs and ham." So, it also means the Whites are the rich and I am the poor. So the Whites feel sorry for me and love me very much.
The Whites insisted for me to have some beef stew. I tried a couple pieces then acclaimed its the best meat I have ever tasted before. I complimented their great cooking and dish. But then I stopped and insisted on eating chicken because it's cheaper.
So, the Whites loved me even more because I was appreciative, not taking advantage of their offering, maintained my discipline, focus on fixing my problem: lack of food.
Lack of taste was not a problem. My problem was the lack of nutritious food.
Because of that, the Whites drove a long way from their rich neighborhood to my poor neighborhood to bring me home for coolie work or to pair up with their children.
I studied Confucius classic from age 10 to 11, so I was very proper. The Whites loved to learn my Chinese wisdom. Khmer, you are rude and ungrateful. I am sure the Whites hate you very much.

We took a bus from Phnom Penh to Seam Reap to see our great world heritage Angkor Wat. We meet a groups of Australian & Dutch. They told us the had visited Vietnam & Laos before coming to Cambodia. They said out of the 3 countries they like Cambodian & Laotian the most. They said Cambodian are peaceful and not hassle them to death to sell stuffs. They said Vietnam is too crowded and people there too aggressive merchants. Cambodian & Laotian more gentle. This is their words. How do you explain that A Youn Drgunzet.

In late 1978 the Khmer Rough did a strategic withdraw from Battambong province to allow their larger forces to Thai border so they left behind a few dozen Khmer Rough special forces as vanguard. Those Khmer Rough dug in on top of Phnom Kampur guarding highway to Pailin at Thai border. They fought for 5 days and nights. We can see they killed hundreds of the Viet invader troops after the battle. Viets dead soldiers everywhere. Smell unbearable.I actually felt sorry to see hundreds Youn's troops who were killed during fighting at our 2 villages. Now, when I have grown and realized that those Viets that was KIA in our villages were invaders not liberators.
I had a friend who joined KPNLF in the 80's said they captures dozen Viets invader along Thai borders and their commander orders those Viets soldiers shot. Drgunzet you come out with stories. But you still have not shown me where you the world hates khmer. Only a verysmall minority. at the countries I have resided It is very multicultural and the only hate with the khmer are a small minority which happen to be vietnamese. But this new generation born or have grown up in a civilized western society have no hatred towards khmer as the country where I am is very multicultural.
