Sovannara denied bail yet again តុលាការកំពូលបដិសេធបណ្ដឹងសុំនៅក្រៅឃុំរបស់មន្ត្រីនិងសកម្មជនបក្សប្រឆាំង

Imprisoned Cambodian-American opposition official Meach Sovannara has been denied bail for a fifth time – leading his lawyer to conclude he has “no hope” further appeals will render a different result.
Sovannara was charged in November last year with offenses including “leading an insurrection”,. in relation to a vicious clash between protestors and security forces at an opposition demonstration in July.
Supreme Court presiding judge Oueng Seang handed down the decision in a hearing closed to the media on Wednesday and declined to comment afterward.
Choung Choungy, Sovannara's lawyer, said the court was completely compromised by political interference and a waste of time.
“I have no hope that Supreme Court will accept to release Mr. Sovannara on bail and if we look at the procedure of this case, it is not involved with Mr. Sovannara as he didn’t provoke any violence or incite [anyone] during the protest,” he said.

The July clashes erupted when protesters hit back at the notoriously violent Daun Penh district guards, severely beating several of them, at a demonstration to demand the government reopen freedom park to the opposition.
Four other CNRP supporters and activists remain imprisoned over the same protest.

A previous version of this article incorrectly referred to Meach Sovannara as a CNRP lawmaker. While an official in the party, he does not hold a seat in the National Assembly.

Oooooh, how come CNRP is so quiet about Sovannara?

See it happened again. I watched a Youtube clip reported by Yung Khemara. In the clip, Sam Rainy was shown to jump up and down in a frenzy, whirling his arms to encourage his followers to go out and demonstrate.

So, his followers went out and demonstrated. Many got beaten, some got shot by rumored hidden snipers who wanted to kill the protesters. (The Cambodian police were ordered to use only rubber bullets and blanks to scare away the protesters.)

Trust me, if the Cambodian police were using real ammo, many protesters will die, in the hundreds, not 4.)

But then Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha made a deal with CPP. Both of them got position, titles, money while Sovannara is rotting in jail.

Remember years ago, Sam Rainsy took the Cambodian farmers to the border and pointed them to the illegal post. He "talked" to the farmers. Then the farmers uproot the stakes.

The Cambodian put the farmers into jail and also charged Sam Rainsy. But he ran away, back to France. Sam Rainsy never went to jail, or took a baton in the beating. He "talked" others into doing things for him and ran away, left others to rot in jail for him.

I cannot believe you folks are that stupid.

Personally I think Mr. Hun Sen is a great leader. But that teenager gal Thy Sovantha made a valid point, "We do not know if CNRP will be actually better than CPP, but it has been a long time under CPP. It's time for a change."

Change is good. At some American companies, they changed the color of the office neon lights every 3-4 years from slightly blue, to slightly yellow or pink. And they saw an increase in productivity.

But please, don't change leadership from Mr. Hun Sen to the horrible Sam Rainy. I bet Thy Sovantha is a much better leader than Sam Rainsy.

I would be a superior politician than Sam Rainsy. For example, Sam Rainsy expressed his opinion: Mr. Obama should not visit Cambodia, citing such act would endorse Mr. Hun Sen. That's very stupid and rude. How dare a no-name person tell a leader of a super power what to do, especially Khmer is a crappy race and Cambodia is horrible and sad country.

I would have said it in a more humble way, try this: "I am so hagpy Mr. Obama to visit Cambodia. This will increase visibility, help, investment to the poor people of Cambodia. I only wish to ask his excellency to also use the opportunity to influence the current Cambodian government to better [insert your political spin here]. I am so concern CPP will use your visit as an endorsement."

So, the difference between Sam Rainsy and I is:

_ Sam Rainsy accused Mr. Obama for endorsing CPP. Mr. Obama will not like Sam Rainsy.

_ I would CPP for trying to use Mr. Obama's prestige to gain more influence. So, this is an indirect compliment I give to Mr. Obama (oh yes, you are the prestigious leader of the super power in the world. Others can feel your power radiating out just by sitting around you.)

In conclusion, Khmer race is naturally stupid and rude. They have a talent to piss off others. lol...even an ordinary citizen like me can out smart the leader of CNRP.
