Russians concerned on coast [Sihanoukville has become a little Russian mafia-state!]

Concerned Russians in Sihanoukville are passing around a petition urging the Russian Embassy to do more for its citizens amid a recent crime wave in the coastal town.
Despite increasing robberies and assaults, Russians who file reports with the local police are routinely ignored, the petition states, urging the embassy to wield its influence to make the police more responsive.
Organiser Anton Zulin said he decided to write the petition after he was robbed himself a few days ago, adding that as of yesterday, the document has received about 65 signatures.
Although the petition largely addresses local crime such as bag-snatchings, signer Irina Malikhova said she was also concerned about the embassy’s seeming indifference towards “Russian mafia” activities, with Russians involved in two separate attacks over the last month.
“I’ve lived in Cambodia for three years and have three children. I care about issues of the Russian mafia . . . the Embassy of the Russian Federation does not react,” she said.

The Russian Embassy did not respond to requests for comment yesterday.

Wow Russian are been robbed by other Russian mafia in Cambodia. Cambodian police probably inadequate to deal with the powerful Russian mafia. Russian peoples in general are very kind and polite but don't ever piss them off. Russian got a very short temper but kind peoples. Russia Federation is one country you don't want to go to war with. As Cambodian myself I wanted Cambodia to be friend with America, Russia, China, EU. We are a small weak country we needed powerful friend like Russia.
