Khmer race conquered, enslaved, wiped out smaller races around them. That's why God punished the Khmer race by having the Thais to revolt, sack and crush the Khmer race.

I researched and saw pictures of the remnants of red-brick temples built by the extinct Funanese in the Mekong delta. The Funanese were similar to the Chams. They built temples with red-bricks made from advanced pottery work.
The Khmer race was primitive and adopted stone carving as the construction choice. They wiped out the Funanese. Only recently, the Vietnamese found the remnants of the Funanese capital, and temples scattered around Mekong delta.
