PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Phnom Penh governor Pa Socheatvong said that Phnom Penh City Hall has no plan to demolish the very old Building in Chamkar Morn district and relocate its residents to another area.
Socheatvong made comment Saturday after there was a report that the city hall planned to destroy the Building which is located near Russian Embassy.
He said the Building which was built in 1964 is now a very old building, and if the residents agree to swap their current houses with new ones, the city hall will intervene to find other buildings in Borei Rongroeung for them to avoid incidents which can be caused by the collapse of the old Building.
