Sam Rainsy visits detained activists at Prey Sar

Give our kids a better deal 

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Sam Rainsy, president of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) on Saturday visited three detained activists at Prey Sar prison on the outskirt of Phnom Penh, according to Yim Sovann. 


"Leader Sam Rainsy and CNRP's officials came by and encouraged three activists at Prey Sar this morning," Sovann posted on his Facebook page at around 10:30 am. 



Khin Chumroeun and San Kimheng, heads of CNRP's Youth Movement in Phnom Penh and Toul Kork respectively, and Neang Sokhon, financier of CNRP's Youth Movement in Chbar Ampov, were arrested last Saturday on charge of involving in July 15 violent clash near the Freedom Park which was reopened for public rally last Wednesday after the CNRP's 55 lawmakers-elect sworn into the parliament.

The Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Thursday rejected their bail requests.
